Tasting Rooms and Wineries: Solvang alone now has 10 tasting rooms all within easy walking distance of the Svendsgaard's Lodge. There are also wonderful tasting rooms located in the historic towns of Santa Ynez and Los Olivos. There are also many vineyards and wineries nestled throughout the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley and the surrounding area. Chumash Indian Casino: Features gaming at its best. There is a large array of the most popular slot machines, table games including Black Jack and poker, and Bingo in their non-smoking Bingo hall. Backpacking, Biking, and Hiking: Over two million acres in the Los Padres National Forest. Maps and hiking and camping permits may be obtained from the Los Padres National Forest headquarters in Goleta. For information call: 805-968-6640.

Cachuma Lake: March 1 thru October 3, Fri-Sun: Two hour narrated nature cruise with a park naturalist, viewing waterfowl, osprey, hawks, bald eagles, and other birds and wildlife. California Missions: Old Misson Santa Ines, gem of the California Missions that was founded in 1804. Located directly across the street from the Svendsgaard's Lodge.
